la naissance d'un Grand Vin au Château Faurie de Souchard

Vous ne saurez pas tout sur le vin après avoir lu ce livre. Vous aurez toutefois une idée bien précise de l'ampleur du travail qu'il nécessite. On ne refait pas un bon vin chaque année avec de la chance. Il ne suffit pas de vendanger. J’ai découvert la nécessité d’un immense travail en culture pour dompter les aléas de la nature, ainsi que le processus créatif complexe, original et raisonné pour que chaque vignoble puisse confectionner en chai “le” vin qui le caractérise. Il faut s'adapter, expérimenter, jongler avec les caprices du vivant, l’adversité. Lorsque vous savourez un plat délicat, vous vous interrogez sur ses ingrédients, leurs provenances, les conditions d’élevage ou de culture, le terroir, la maturité, la cuisson et l'inspiration qui a permis l'orchestration et la sublime de l'ensemble. La création d’un vin relève du même talent. Quels secrets se cachent derrière ce mystérieux nectar ? Voilà ce que j’ai découvert à Saint-Emilion. Et bien plus encore…

You will not know all about the wine after having read this book. You will have however a quite precise idea of the extent of the work which it requires. One does not remake a good wine each year with chance. It is not enough to gather the grapes. I discovered the need for an immense work in culture to overcome the risks of nature, as well as the creative process complex, original and reasoned so that each vineyard can make in wine storehouse “the” wine which characterizes it. It is necessary to adapt, test, juggle with the whims of alive, the adversity. When you enjoy a delicate dish, you wonder about its ingredients, their sources, the conditions of breeding or of culture, the soil, maturity, cooking and the inspiration which allowed the orchestration and sublimate it of the unit. Préface :
Cette aventure débute en août à la terrasse d’un café : " Et un carnet de voyage sur le vin ça te dirait ?" Le sujet semblait en or. L’idée m’avait bien traversée plusieurs fois l’esprit mais formulée ainsi… De la bouche d’un viticulteur Bordelais d’un des vins les plus prestigieux de France. C’était le signe, la rencontre que j’attendais. Je ne connaissais alors du vin que le contenu qu’un verre peut offrir. Comme beaucoup de français nombre de bouteilles plus ou moins chères, bonnes et quelques fois renommées étaient passées par mon palet. Et pourtant je ne savais rien de ce qui les composait, ni des hommes qui œuvraient pour créer ce met délicat. Le pari était tenu. Rendez-vous à l’automne pour le début des vendanges ! Sommaire :

This adventure begins in August with the terrace from a coffee: “And would a notebook of voyage on the wine that say to you?” The subject seemed out of gold. The idea well had crossed me several times the spirit but had thus formulated… Mouth of a wine grower Of Bordeaux of one of the most prestigious wines of France. It was the sign, the meeting until I waited. I knew wine then only the contents which glass can offer. As much from French number of more or less expensive, good bottles and some famous times had passed by my metal disc. And yet I did not know anything of what composed them, nor of the men who worked to create this delicate met. The bet was held. Appointment with the autumn for the beginning of the grape harvest!
